In stencil printing, a motif or pattern is cut into a material such as paper or cardboard and the finished template is then placed on the carrier material, in this case photo cardboard. Now if you fill the exposed areas with paint (brush, roller, spray can) and remove the stencil again, only the desired, painted motif remains on the paper. Depending on the motif, the artist works with only one stencil or also with several stencils to print motifs on top of each other and to work with several layers and colours.
The illustrator Martin Krusche lovingly prints each piece of an edition individually by hand and the resulting minimal deviations and small traces of work make each print unique and something very special.
