David Hufschmidt aka. The Top Notch lives and works as a graphic designer and graffiti artist in Essen. He is an active graffiti artist since the mid-90s, specialized fast on stylewriting. Influenced by the classic 80s graffiti styles he developed his present style: he abstracts large stylized letters in bold colors to more and more geometrical structures until the lines between letters and forms almost blurr. His current prints and artworks show his development most clearly: this balanced graphic compositions of colors and shapes speak for themselves. He mainly works on huge walls, on canvas or produces artprints.
